If you have been wanting to see great jazz without making the trek into Washington, DC, you are in luck. You can experience an LJS Saxophone Summit on Saturday, November 21st at Leesburg Junction. The event will feature local legends and recording artists Richie Conn and Rob Maletick, as well as me, with a top-notch rhythm section. I expect tickets to go fast for this one, so save the date and look out for the ticket sale announcement later this month.

Meanwhile, you can dance to the sounds of big band jazz at Dreamscapes in Sterling on Saturday, October 3rd. Matt Trimboli and Swing Shift will provide the music, and April from DanceKing will show you the moves. The last two dances were great fun. Get your tickets today at the link below and come join the party.

The jam continues at The Branch on Wednesday, September 16th. Enjoy good food, good music, and good company at our new home base in Leesburg. At the August jam, we awarded Joseph Noble the 2026 LJS Senior Scholarship. Thanks to the generous donors who help young musicians continue making music past high school. As always, you can scroll down to the bottom to see all the events happening around Loudoun County this month.

Regards,
John Kocur
