Art of the Jam Masterclass w/ Quentin Walston Trio

With generous support from the Virginia Commission on the Arts, the Loudoun Jazz Society presents a special masterclass with the Quentin Walston. Do you attend jam sessions but would like to improve your ability to jam with others? Have you ever wondered how musicians can make music together without rehearsing? In the “Art of the Jam,” Quentin Walston and his trio will help you understand how jazz musicians make music on-stage together and improve your improvisation skills.

This event is free and open to musicians of all ages and ability levels.

Schedule:

  • 3pm — Performance and demonstration with the Quentin Walston Trio

  • 4pm — Interactive masterclass (bring your instrument to play)

  • 5pm — Jam session with the Quentin Walston Trio
