Alfred Yun
Alfred Yun will perform songs from his upcoming album, Voice and Phenomenon. It will be a night of jazz, K-Pop, rock, hip hop, and Korean culture!
Alfred Yun's music is influenced by his upbringing as a Korean American. Accordingly his original compositions feature influences from jazz, hip hop, K-Pop, traditional Korean music and korean culture.
Alfred Yun will be performing songs from his upcoming album, Voice and Phenomenon, which investigates the different ways we use the voice — gibberish, games, poems, singing, spoken word, laughter, and more. The album invites the listener into an intimate account of these disparate voices and sounds. It is the most personal and revealing work of his career.
Alfred Yun is an in-demand pianist who has performed across the globe from South Korea to Boston and Washington DC. He has had the fortune of performing at venues like the Kennedy Center's Millennium Stage, Strathmore AMP, the Arts Barn, An Die Musik Live, Franklin Park Arts Center, and the Berklee College of Music.
Recently Alfred Yun was selected as an Artist-In-Residence at Strathmore for which he will host a series of concerts and workshops in 202
